Marvel Cinematic Crossover Exchange

Hey all! I noticed that some nominated tags overlap with each other. For example, I've approved both 'umbrella' tags like DC Extended Universe and X-Men (All Media Types) as well as subtags they contain like Wonder Woman (2017) and X-Men (Alternate Timeline Movies). This means that you'll be able to make requests or offers in the umbrella tags if the umbrella tag you want to use was nominated, or in nominated subtags.

In the case that a direct match is NOT found, matches may be made based on umbrella tags. For example, if you offer Star Trek, Fast and Furious, and DCEU, you could be matched to someone who has requested Wonder Woman (2017) but not DCEU. On the other side of the coin, if you request DCEU, you could be matched to someone who has offered to write Wonder Woman (2017).

However, if you offer to write in a subtag that fits under a specific umbrella--but not the umbrella itself--you will never be matched on other subtags. For example, if you offer X-Men (Alternate Timeline Movies) but NOT X-Men (Original Timeline Movies), you will not be matched to someone who has only requested X-Men (Original Timeline Movies).

DC's CW TV shows (Arrow, Supergirl, The Flash, etc) will not be considered part of the DCEU for the purposes of this exchange and will instead be categorised under the umbrella CW DC TV Universe - Fandom.

As an addendum, spinoff media like Torchwood will not be considered part of the main canon (in this case, Doctor Who). If you only offer Torchwood, you will not be matched on Doctor Who.

I'm crossing my fingers that this doesn't happen and everyone gets a direct match, but in the case that someone doesn't, this may be a way it gets resolved. If there are no direct or indirect matches, the request will be opened to pinch hits.

If you create an offer with no matches, I will contact you via email to ask you to either pick a request to fill or drop out.

(note: AO3 makes participants' emails available to exchange runners. If you are not comfortable with me contacting you at the email attached to your account, you can change your AO3 email via Profile > Edit My Profile > Change Email. This will also stop runners of future exchanges you participate in having access to that email.)
