The Marvel Cinematic Crossover Exchange is an exchange dedicated to fusions and crossovers between the MCU and other fandoms.
It’s June 1 somewhere, which means that nominations for the Marvel Cinematic Crossover Exchange are open! You can submit nominations for non-MCU fandoms you want to read or write crossovers or fusions about at the nominations page.
Submitting a nomination is non-binding: you don’t have to participate to submit a nomination, so if you’re not sure if you’ll be able to participate, feel free to nominate fandoms anyway. Check out the Ao3 collection page or Tumblr for more details.

Date: 2018-05-31 07:27 pm (UTC)How will matching work? While the exchange is called 'Crossover', this post says that the exchange will be open to "fusions and crossovers". Will we be allowed to specify which type we're interested in? For example, the crossovering exchange uses the freeform field to let you select crossovers, fusions, or either in each request and offer. I hope this is how this exchange will work! There are a lot of people who are only interested in crossovers, or who might only be interested in fusions for one fandom and crossovers for another.

Date: 2018-05-31 11:01 pm (UTC)I've written a definition of crossovers and fusions that goes like this:
---
For the purposes of this exchange, if you would tag a work as ___ AU, it's a fusion. Otherwise, it's a crossover.
In other words, the difference between a crossover and a fusion is the difference between a fic set in a coffee shop and a fic set in a coffee shop AU. In the hypothetical Coffee Shop Fusion, the roles of the characters change to fit the setting. In the Coffee Shop Crossover, the characters are the same... but they're in a coffee shop.
